TW Medical Veterinary Supply Expands Operations with Two New Locations

(October 1, 2009 - AUSTIN, Texas) – Austin-based TW Medical Veterinary Supply today announced that it has opened two new facilities to accommodate the company’s continued multi-year growth.

In August, TW Medical opened a West Coast distribution facility in Visalia, Calif., to serve its growing customer base in California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Washington.  The new Visalia warehouse is currently servicing approximately 30% of the company’s shipment volume.

In addition, TW Medical Veterinary has added an 8,000-sq.ft. Sales and Training Center in Austin and is converting its existing 18,000-sq.ft. Lago Vista, Texas, facility into exclusively warehouse and administrative offices. The new sales facility will accommodate as many as 34 inside sales representatives plus management and training staff. 

“To keep up with our continued growth we are investing into new physical facilities, such as our new Sales & Training Center, as well as human capital in the form of additional sales managers and trainers,” said Mark Ziller, Lextron’s vice president for companion animal.  “Our sales team will be increasing from 36 to 51 sales representatives over the next nine months, and the new facilities and staff will help us meet those challenges.”

TW Medical has shown continued year over year growth. For the first six months of 2009, TW Medical posted $16.2 million in net sales, an increase of 30.5% over the same period a year ago and a $4.8 million jump from the first half of 2007.
